I have 3 Dell pc's running Access 2002 with the same access program. Two work great. The third one errors out and gives me an error log. The error log makes no sense to me. I have the latest service packs on all three machines and they appear to be identical. What should I look at?

what process is going on when it happens? are people entering in information? if so check record-locking. maybe two users are trying to update the same record?

if not, can you paste the error message here?
can you get the error log here somehow?

thanks--g

What exactly is "the same Access program"? Haven't done anything with the 2002 release yet, but is it a licensing conflict - too many machines and not enough $$ in Bill Gates' pocket? Does the same Access program mean 3 installations sharing a common .mdb? If so, the database should sit on a server (or 4th machine) and all tables should be linked. If you're still stuck try and do datachick's idea and post the error log here (My Dell stores it in C:\Documents and Settings\Temp etc.). Hope maybe this helps a little...

Sorry for the short details. This is an access program that contains data about our credit department. When the error occurs, it is always in the same spot. It is not when they are all on. This database resides on the network. All the people involved have been using this database for a long period of time. The only change is that we got new pc's. I have repaired that database. I will pull the error messge over as soon as the world settles down. Thanks for your time.
