3 gb MEMORY ON SQL 2000

We have a server with 3 GB memory. We are using SQL 2000 Standard Edition. I thought I remembered reading somewhere you can only use 2gb with standard edition. But I've read somewhere that you can configure it to use more. In my scenerio is it possible to configure sql 2000 to use all 3 GB of memory or am I stuck just using the 2 GB? And is so how do I go about doing this.

We have Windows 2000 Server for the operating system.
