3 field lock down????

Greetings all!

I need some help. I have three fields in a form and have tried several diferent extensions to lock them down. What I am trying to achieve is when the user enters the data into the form there is 3 text boxes that HAVE to be filled in. I can get a popup bow alerting them to this fact using onblur but if the user presses ok in the alert box it jumps to the next line thus the information can be bypassed any ideas or assistance to solve this would be of great help.
