Hello,

Has anyone heard about the 3 CPL limit for CR 10 and above. Does that mean that we cannot run process more than 3 requests at the same time if we dont use CE.

What does CPL stand for?

I am also confused by the second part of your post "we cannot run process more than 3 requests at the same time if we dont use CE".

Please define "requests" and "processes" in this context.

Are you running crystal reports in the crystal report designer or a commercially available crystal viewer? Or are you running them from another application? Or in crystal enterprise?

CPL is Concurrent Process License.

We are using a 3rd party .NET application that publishes Crystal Reports on the web. It allows most of the functionality of Crystal Enterprise at a much lower cost.

We have noticed that if we submit a 4th report after submitting 3 long running reports, the 4th one gets queued until one of the three initial report completes running.

Thank you.

Using Crystal 10 under Windows XP, there seems no limit to the number of reports you can start. Lots of people using it separately.

We are on Windows Server 2003 and using a .NET application that uses the RDC to run the reports.

There is a short explanation here of the CPLs and a link to the full PDF:

Thanks you Ken for responding.

Per the article, the number of CPL's is directly proportional to the number of processors. Our server has 8 processors but we still seem to be hitting the 3 CPL limit. Are there any changes that we made to make to IIS.
