2k3 server/wireless netgear wg511

I can't get my 2k3 server to get an ip from my router. my 2k3 machine can connect to my wireless network, authenticate to it but can't get an ip from the router, i've tried entering static details but then can't ping the router 192.168.0.1 (weird?)

I've tried both with windows wireless software and the netgear software and the same thing happens.

i have 2 laptops that are wireless and the xp one connects fine.

I don't have any firewall software running.

on the connection status it's showing as sending packets but not receiving them.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
