2k password needed for network

newbee with 2k
setup machine in network 4 comp. 1 2k 3 98se
we can see ech and ping and so on. 2k can enter 98se comp.

i shared a folder on 2k ( permissions all ) blue hand came up so on..

98se tryed to access file and asked for password? i never set a password for this.. tryed admin psswrd no go and several others in mind no go..

how to correct ?
