2924(2900xl) stuck in a loop, tried new flash image...

Well, as I said I have indeed tried reloading the OS. I found step by step instrucions on cisco's site, but I must state I'm quite the newbie. Unfortunately I don't understand much of the debug info, perhaps some elder eyes might decypher it. Well, older than myself. If ya need need more info drop me a line.

I surfed many sites before I came here and noticed there were no tables or descriptions of any type of exception errors, but I did find a bit on the % type error and the description of %Software-forced reload was pretty generic. So I’m at kind of a loss and was hoping someone could help me further.

I’ve tried putting older and new versions of IOS on there, nothing works. What’s even weirder is after a reboot, when I hold down mode and get to the prompt, I cant get a directory listing of flash:. But when I typed “boot flash:c2900xl-c3h2s-…..” it would run. But I still couldn’t get a directory listing. After I formatted it of course I could get a listing. But otherwise it’s still stuck in a reboot.

Someone please tell me if I’m wasting my time on a dead switch.
