2912XL & 2950-12 fan noise

Hello, this may sound like a crazy question:

Are the fans on the 2912 and/or 2950-12 loud?

I realize this is a subjective question, but my intention is to put one of these in my living room. I certainly wouldn't mind fan noise on the Cisco if it was close to a high performance workstation; i.e. one with 4 or 5 fans and high end video card with a gpu fan...
