2616 display button

Is there a way to use the Display "key 7" button for some thing else on a 2616 phone.

key 7 is the program key and is not programable for any other use

Yes, but you lose the display functionality.

Set CLS NDD and then you will be able to assign anything to KEY 07.

Think of a 2616 without Display. You can use KEY 7 for anything.

You tell the system that the phone has a display by seeting the CLS to ADD, TDD, etc.

If you set NDD, the system things there is no display, so KEY 7 becomes free.
