I realize the 2600 series routers supposedly handle 15000 pps. According to Cisco, the ethernet port is 10000 pps and the serial ports each carry 1500 for a total of 16000 pps.
My question is: would all of the interfaces have to be at full capacity for you to see a performance hit for going over the specified capabilty of the router.
My thinking is that the interfaces are never all at full capacity and it would be ok to do this.
Am I missing anything?
Thanks
