2400 IMS Digital Announcement trouble

Having propblem getting 4DATB to go into record mode. This is an old IMS so cannot use record / replay access codes. Anyone, anyone, Buehler?

I think

Connect tape recorder to DAT
Turn on MBRQ to make busy the channel to record
Turn WR key up
Turn START key up
Start recorder
Return START , WR keys to down when done

Not that i can think of with out access codes,,,
Maybe take the card to another site where you can record

Got it working!

This old 2400 does not support record / play access codes. I was able to set dip switch 6-8 to on then set sense wheel to F. make sure all other trunks are busied out with the piano keys except for the trunk for announcement.

NEC documentation says to turn dip sw 6-8 to on only for 4DAT-A but not for 4DATB, ooops.
