2306 error - Export the result of a query to Excel

I use Access 97 and I have a query that produce 35,000 lines (records). Using OutputTo metod (with DoCmd)to export to Excel (acFORMATXLS format), I receieve 2306 error with this explanation:
"There are too many rows to output, base on the limitation specified by the output format"

Can somebody help?

HI did anyone figure out a work around for this? I am outputting just above the aloted 16K records (Excel 95), but we are using excel 2000. How can I get my 17K records out?

Have you tried the DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet method ?

Ive got n Error in Access Application when exporting more than 13 Tables via docmd.transferspreadsheed.
Anybody n idea do it n diffrent way?
