Hi there anyone who actually reads this forum...
I have a 20GB tape drive attached via parallel cable to a windows 2000 machine. The 2000 machine gets V2i backups of other computers and then I wanted to back them all up onto one 20gig tape.
The folder I'm trying to backup says it has 11 gigs in it. The HP Backup Software gets to 9gigs and then asks me for a new tape. The compression is set to Max (which still seems to be 1:1 for some reason, HELP!) and I'm thinking that's the problem.
My logic was that with a 20 gig drive and a 20 gig tape I should have no problems backing up half of that.
Any ideas? New software? Screw tape backups?
Thanks!
