2000 registry edit to shorten printer error display time

I have a win2k server printing to an okitata printer through a HP print server. When you get a about 10 documents in the que you receive an error on 1 job that say 'cant print "document" to "port" Retry or Cancel. the message stays on the screen for about 2 minutes 8 sec. After the casch from the printer and printserver empties the printer pauses for that 2 min. then starts up again. I need to know what registry edit makes the error only stay on the screen so I can shorten it.
