I am hosting two websites on the IBM AS/400. When I pull the IBM down, I want the two IP addresses to roll over to a 2000 Srv machine. I have 2000 Srv configured so that it is hosting the sites but when I bring down the AS/400 and plug the 2000 box into the switch I get page not found in my browers.

Are there any secrets or special steps one must take to host the two sites on one machine? I only have one nic.

i had a simmilar problem when using 2 gateways on a 2000 webserver(1 nic), it just wouldnt work, i removed one gateway, and it worked (had to change dns for one of the webs)

Do you have each site binded to its respected IP address in IIS?
Also check if the switch is using NAT. If it is make sure it is pointing to the WIN2K machine for those websites
