I have a DID ext. set up but it is shared among 2 supervisor each wanting there own v.m. Can I create a cover path to ext. 889 (1st v.m.) and then put 890 as a secondary ext. on 889's sub in v.m.? If not how can I do this?
Thanks,
Tina
Cover to a VDN, route it to a vector and give the caller a choice to leave a message for person 1 or 2 and route using messaging split X for ext XXX statements into 2 different mailboxes. Assuming you have an announcement card & vectoring.
You could also do it using an auto attendant mailbox in the audix. Set up an auto attendant mailbox under the DID number then 2 other mailboxes you route to out of that mailbox using the auto attendant menu.
With both methods you would have to add an aut-msg-wt key on the set for message indication.

Another option would be to give them each thier own number
and assign an extension with no hardware for each.
Then set up a coverage path that has the physical phone they use as the first coverage point and voicemail the second.
I would probably set up the 889 vm account as an auto-attendant and set option 1 to forward voicemail to 889. Then set option 2 to forward voicemail to 890. That's probably the easiest way to do it. Good luck.

Thanks all, I went with the DID ext. then set up an auto-attend with options 1 and 2 (890 and 889). I'm a little confused on the aut-msg-wait but I put one on these for each v.m. on the phone hoping it will light when 890 or 889 has a message. I'll test it later.
Thanks,
Tina
