Being a little experienced access person and little in the way of a library going I have two questions for the access masters.

1) Is there a way to make a free floating tool bar?
by this I mean create a tool bar (the third row from the top of the access screen) and place it anywhere you'd like on a form.

2) Is there a way to replace the microsoft access phrase at the top of the screen with one of my choosing ?
by this I mean at the very top of the access screen is a little access icon and the phrase Microsoft Access. Is there a way to alter this (customize it) to say the databases name ?

In advance to those who answer - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!

It's just another day in paradise - I just havent got there yet !

What you ask is a little tricky, I had to do this once and I found linking the table into a web design too (e.g. Frontpage) than you can add/edit absoutly anything you want, this also gives much higher security. You can then change the title bar when you save.

I recomend !st page at...

(Only use this if you have some knowlage on HTML and or JAVA)

Go to the menu called Tools and click
then choose Startup

The Application Name box will let you change the Access name

As far as the other question on free floating Menus, I would design a form based on no tables and then add buttons and menu commands to it. The form can then be positioned anywhere you want on the screen.

Good luck
