I have 2 questions here.

1. I would like to script enable and disable the second NIC on my server. I run backups overnight to the backup server and would like the NIC disabled when not needed.

2. A few of my terminal server clients are complaining about a black screen when the session window is minimized. If the user minimizes the session window and does some other stuff on their machine, then maximizes the window they are looking at a black screen. Some users sessions are not able to recover from this state. How can I solve or reduce this problem? Users get click happy and X out the session then try to get back in, this creates other login issues as well.

Any suggestions here would be great.

i'm having the same problem as your issue 2. have you found a solution to this?

jdam,
The answer to your first question can be found here:

For question number 2, using a password protected screen saver on the local computer can cause this. Disable the screen saver or the password requirement on the screen saver and you should see this behavior go away.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
