2 Monitors from on Video Card

This might be a silly question, but If my video card has a DVI out and a VGA out...

It is one or the other right? This doesn't mean I can hook up two monitors and utilize dual screen?

Most of the more recent cards will let you use both simultaneously. What card do you have?

You should be able to use two displays at once and span your desktop across them both.
