1ghz 266 FSB, 256 pc133 ram, lags like a MOFO!!!

I am really getting tired of this... The only time it ever seems to lag, is when I open up winamp... and then everything starts going downhill... The music starts skipping, and when I type my icq messages, it takes a while to catch up w/ my speed! And I only type... 70-80 guam, If anyone can help me out here, I would REALLY appreciate it...

And it is not because I have other programs running...

I've heard that the new t-bird chips are NOT very stable, because they really fluxuate.. there any truth to that?

it could be winamp!! it is notorious for memory leak!! so it is probably EATING youre resources either dont use whenusing irq or GRRR!! reboot!
