17055 Sql Backup Error

We backup several databases each night and restore them each night to a test server. Around once a month, one of the backups will fail with the following error:

Event ID: 17055
Source: MSSQLSERVER
Event Type: Error
Log Type: Application
Category:2
Description: 18204 :
BackupDiskFile::OpenMedia: Backup device \\Servername\drive$\BACKUPDEVICES\DATABASE.BAK failed to open. Operating system error = 51(The remote computer is not available.).

We do not see any corresponding errors on the remote computer where the backup files are stored and the remainder of the database restores restore just fine. We are not performing tape backup during this time.

Any one have any suggestions for troubleshooting this error?

Thanks for your reply. I went to the link, but it does not give me the information I need for why it can't get to the remote computer for the backup file - very sporadically.
