1608 switch port slowing down the network 2

At least 30x 1608-I phones installed, where all PCs are connected to the phone secondary switch port, End user complains about dramatic lost of network performance on those PCs, has anyone had experience about it ?
I heard about the fact those phones have a "software switch" but I did not found any info about it on the Avaya docs.

That is the case with those phones.
The 1616 has a slight better performance but it is still dramatic.
You will need to use 9600 serie phones for much better performance or not using a phone in between at all.

Avaya did a "stop complaining" release about this very issue a few months after the handsets were laucnhed. It basically said you can't expect 100 meg form these handsets, they are so cheap you need to expect a throughput in line with their budget price.

Can't find it at the moment, but it basically means...tough sh1t

The 9600 aren't cheaper and yes they do better.
Let them try one first before selling them to the customer.
