1608 IP telephone message key

I can not get the message/envelope key to work on 1600 series IP phones (1608's and 1616's). It's getting it's files from the file server. What's wrong? (The phones are built as 9600 series phones in the PBX because there's no option for 1600)

I think I have to modify the 46xx file? But there is no where to change the dialing digits of that key for those phones?

the line you need in the 46xxsettings.txt file i:

SET MSGNUM XXXX

If you have CM 4.0 or above, there is also a place on the station form for this as well.

I put the Extension # of the hunt group in there. Example 7000 is the number for Hunt Group 99.

I also have that 7000 extension in on the station programming.

If it's in both places, why wouldn't it be working on every phone? (These are all 1608 and 1616 telephone if it helps)

Hi All,

I'm using 4600 series as an alias to my 1600 series phone. i have issue with the message button it doesn't work i already load the 46xxsettings.txt file and change the 9600 series MSGNUM XXXX since i dont see the 1600 series for MSGNUM XXXX.

my current load on tftp:

ha1616ual_010.bin
16xxupgrade.txt
46xxsettings.txt(release date oct 2007)
