Hi Folks,
I'm no Norstar expert but I have one client that I've been working with for awhile and he has an 8x24 w/ DR 5 that I work on for him.
He refuses to buy a new system from me so he gets everything on ebay and hands it to me to get working. He only has a 2 port module card. I've already installed a 12x0 module (copper) and it came up fine system recognizes it et al. However he wants to add a 0x16, on the ebay trip he's gone through 3 of them so far and we havent gotten one of them to work. Two of them the system wouldnt pick it up, one didnt even power up.
So I want to make sure its no bone head thing I'm doing.
Shouldnt the module show right up under the maintenance and show its existance? I've tried everything from powercyling everything, plugging them into the TM's port, using the TM's cable, busy/idling the module. Nothing works.
What am I missing or has he just got two bad 0x16's (the one not powering up is one i can troubleshoot)
Should the system just pick it up as soon as you plug it in?
Thanks in advance for your replies!
