I think "cleaned up" means to not only uninstall but remove the actual .inf (driver) so that when it is re-installed it gets a new driver file. I hope that is what it means because that's what I just did. (it didn't solve the problem)
It's all pretty strange... the three that are having the...
I tested with the same printer and print driver. I guess I neglected to say: It is a shared printer in AD, so they were both installed from the same source, hence the same driver.
However, it wouldn't hurt to uninstall/reinstall the printer. His office is locked up right now, I'll try it in the...
I apologize in advance for the length of this post.
Environment:
We are still in the process of switching from PCs with XP / Office 2003 to Win 7 / Office 2010. All of the PCs that had Office 2003 have been upgraded to 2010 but most of the shared documents on our file server are still in the...
Over the last week or so I have had 2 PCs come in for repair that would not boot. It turns out that on both, the entire contents of the Windows directory had been deleted. (looking at the drive with Linux) I searched the drive, thinking that it just got dragged to another folder, but nope -...
I know this post is old but I thought I'd list how I solved my Stop: 0x0000007E error. My error was the exactly the same as cebuy except the problem file was FTDISK.SYS and I only got the blue screen when I scanned the hard drive (XP Media Edition / SP3) with Malwarebytes.
Solution:
I copied...
-Solved-
I took another look at the macro and found a typo. The destination path was pointing to a non-existant sub-directory.
Where's the smiley for embarrassment? LOL

I've google this problem and found few questions being asked and even fewer answers.
Here is the closest thing: http://www.accessforums.net/import-export-data/snapshot-export-question-64.html
My issue: I have a user with Access 2003 that wants to use a macro to export his report to a snapshot...
Sorry in advance for the long post.
This PC used to be in-house. The boss allowed her to take it home. I installed VPN software, edited the Host file (so Outlook could find the Exchange server) and Outlook connects and send/receive like it did when it was in-house (without editing the account...
Sorry it took so long to get back, other fires to put out... you know how it goes.
We are using exchange, and it is the only account setup. The only strange thing about this config is that she is a remote user who "VPNs-in". Once she connects via VPN, then she operates like any other user.
Hi all,
We have a user who's Outlook 2003 is sending out emails without a "from" field address. As in, she sends an email, it usually bounces, so she checks her Sent folder - and the email she just sent does not have her own email address in the "From" field.
This is happening intermittently...
Found problem
For anyone who find this in the future.....
While my default site was setup correctly, it turns out default.htm was configured to re-direct to a nonexistant URL.
Then I discovered that ACT! internet sync site's config setting (found in intenetsync.xml - I think) was reset to...
Thanks guys - I was hoping I didn't have mess with all of Exchange (because my original problem seems to lie with IIS) but I guess you gotta do what ya gotta do...

I posted this question in the IIS forum: http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1440238&page=1
but I guess there isn't a lot of traffic there, (only 4 posts in 9 days), because i haven't heard anything.
Anyway, after searching this forum - my question, (How will OWA be affected if I...
I am helping a friend with his small office’s Win 2003 server (12 users). He has all roles on one box (even though I advised him not to) DC, print server, file server, Exchange with OWA, IIS 6, Sharepoint and Act 8.0 - which is a contact manager by Sage.
Act creates a site in IIS for remote...
Kaht,
I finally got that info from my destionation site - paymybill.com.
They accept forwarded info like Google does. Their URL would look like this:
https://www.paymybill.com/default.asp?account=000000&password=1234567&hidden=1&amount=100.01
I think I know how to do this from a form (using the...
Hi all!
I think I've been barking up the wrong tree.
I have a .ASP search page that gets it's results from a database and I need to make a button to forward that info to a "online bill pay" site. I'm trying to learn how to make that happen, so I searched google for "ASP + databse results +...
If you think it is internal, then test it by sending a internal spoofed email and compare them.
Start a new email -> click "view" -> "from field"
and put in a co-worker's email address in the "from" and "to" fields, send it - then check it out on thier PC.
Have you checked javascript.internet.com?
They have a ton of image gallery viewer & slideshow viewer scripts.
Like this one:

I'm not familiar with "pathping", it seems to act more like "tracert" than "ping". - neat...
Anyway, I tried both commands on a working PC first before trying it on the problem PC. Since I have a Cisco firewall seperating me from my ISP, tracert to the ISP's servers doesn't show any results...
