    Excel XP is not designed to properly make use of a multiple-processor platform. This is not to say it won't run faster on that system, it just means it isn't designed to do so. So my best answer is "maybe". If you're running a lot of simulations, RAM is key. In answer to your other question...

    I'm an IT tech for a group of 100 or so. Some of the older Dell system don't have sound cards. In NT and 2000 the users could play audio CDs in the CD player even without a sound card. Now that we've upgraded to XP, I haven't found a way to let them do this. Anyone know a trick?
