DG,
I think if I tried this again, my IT guy would hang me upside down by my ears and kick me to the curb like a bad Novell server. As much as I would actually like to try it again, I would probably lose my job if I tried. It's like a piece of candy in front of a diabetic child....
The good...
It is, in fact, locking on all searches the look for an Item number (Item Master Maintenance, Single-Level Where Used in BOM package, Item/Location Maintenance, etc). And it is locking up in all companies as well...We also don't have the Test Data because they didn't yet convert it over or...
DGillz, it is the item number search...The same one you just tried to edit. Perhaps this is an unfound problem with Macola 7.6.100a MS SQL and not associated with the action that I took to try and add a table??
We just switched over our BTrieve server to a SQL sever Running Macola 7.6.100a SQL. In IM, under Multi-Level Item View, I tried to add the IMINVLOC table to the Search function, which only had the IMITMIDX table. Now, when we click on the binoculars, it hangs, and I have to press...
Thanks DG! You are the master! Going into the IM Setup did allow me to reset the Tag Number. It gave me a warning that by changing the number, it may effect Historical Data. But I'm gonna do it anyway.
Again, thanks!
Does anyone know how to reset the Cycle Count Tag Numbers, so that I can use the number "1" again? It keeps forcing me to use a number greater than an exisiting Tag number, but I have no Batches to count.
Thanks.
I know that Crystal has a Macola NumberToDate conversion function. I need the same thing but for Macola time. So that 105318 comes out to 10:53:18. Does anyone know of a built-in or add-on function to do this?
Thanks.
I'm on a new Macola system now so please refer to knowledge based on Macola 7.5.103f. We are running an MRP by Date report and finding some funky Order No's that we cannot find in the system anywhere else. They seem to be generated by existing Shop Orders, creating subsequent lines (SO H2134...
All the time......Chalk it up to poor operating system. Solution ---> Live with it....Or switch to Unix. Thank goodness for the reset key.....It's Window's best friend.
Very easy......The secret to clean installs is a Windows98 Startup Disk. This magical entity will allow you to start your computer from your floppy drive and install CD drivers at the same time. Then all you do is format your C drive, and run the setup from the Windows disk.
1) Create...
dgillz,
I've been playing for a few minutes with this approach and I can see where you're coming from. I know how to work with the aliases. But it's working with the multiple detail sections that a killer. For instance....
Let's say I do a single level bill of material with 1 detail...
d,
Thanks for the offer, but we already own the Macola upgrade and have decided not to go with it. We like the older DOS version and will stick with it.
Our Inventory Transactions are posted real-time, which would mean we really don't use the IMTRXFIL. Now that I think back, I was unable...
DGILLZ,
Remember I don't have the IMITMIDX table because I'm running an older version of Macola (v6.72b). I do, however, know where to look for the info you suggested. That M/P flag in Item Master might help me, but then again, I have some M-MFG items that have no BOM, and so are not parent...
I was wondering if there is a data field in any table within the Macola Database that indicates whether or not a given Item Number is a Parent Item to some Bill Of Material.
In the Item File Maintenance, if you try to delete an Item that is a Parent Item to some Bill Of Material, Macola warns...
dgillz,
You are absolutely correct.....We are using Macola V6.72b...In good old DOS. And I'm gonna trust you on that Low Level Code recurssion. Actually, it never occurred to me to think of it in those terms. But if that is the case, and since Low Level Code 11 is the lowest level (as far...
Jeffrey,
At one time I too wanted to use Bar Coding with Macola. But the more I thought about it and tried to figure out how Bar Coding would fit into the whole picture, I couldn't see the benefits of bar coding. I actually went out and bought a very good hand wand bar code reader from...
dgillz,
Thanks for your response. I too was able to do a subreport and drill down one level, but go no further. As you said, no subreport of a subreport...I'm surprised Crystal has not done that yet. I believe our lowest level code is 6 or 7 right now...So there would be some drilling down...
