Hi there we are using Exchange activesync to sync mail with some Treos and I need to make sure the timeout value for https is set to 1hr on out PIX 515.
I'm not sure which of the timeout values would apply, here is what we currently have set:
pix515# show timeout
timeout xlate 24:00:00

Hi we are running one Exchange server (2003 SP2) which is setup for RPC over HTTP. This works fine 98% of the time, however every now and then I see an issue with a user connecting to the server. It just will not connect...
I found this article about forcing Kerberos authentication to use TCP...
Yes the domain is in 2003 native mode. I have no idea if Exchange is in native mode, never heard of this before. How do i check?
And yes i do believe that this is an issue with folders migrated from 5.5
Hi there,
Enviroment: 2003 native mode domain, 1 exchange server 2003 SP2, 1 information store.
I am currently reviewing and cleaning up our public folders and noticed that a lot of them are mail enabled when they do not need to be.
Problem: When I right click one of the folders and select...
Here is our scenario:
B is a delegate of A (B is set to recieve copies of meeting requests for A).
C sends A a meeting request which populates the calendar.
B deletes the copy of the meeting request and this removes it from A's calendar.
A has not accepted the meeting request at the time...
Hi there,
I recently wanted to replace a shared mailbox with a mail-enabled public folder.
I created the public folder, mail enabled it, and gave it the SMTP address of the original mailbox (first I changed the SMTP address on the original mailbox). Right now both mailboxs share the same...
Right now when I create new user accounts, the default permissions for thier mailbox is to give them the SELF permission. They do not have thier own account listed with permissions.
Can someone explain the SELF permission to me? I'm thinking this is a potential problem as I remember something...
Thanks Mark!
I actually resolved this. I found a Microsoft article about finding an SMTP address by running a search under the address lists in the Exchange console. I never knew you could do that. You learn something new every day...

Hi,
I recently deleted a mail enabled public folder without first mail disabling it. Now the SMTP address that was attached to it is stuck in the Global address list. I tried using PFDAVAdmin to restore the public folder, but of course i had to Mail enable it! If i try to associate the same...
I am currently cleaning out our groups, and i found one called 'Spawner' It contains a domain admin account but has no other information. I am hesitant to delete it as i don't know what it is. Anyone ever heard of it?
Thanks!
Our company is wasting a large amount of money on colour prints and we want people's printing profiles to default to Black and white.
I've looked into group policy printer settings and can't see any way to do this. Anyone else got any other ideas?
Any help is much appreciated
We have an older pix 520 with 6/3 of the IOS. It is still using conduit commands which i am not familiar with. How can i tell if port 25 is open?
Thanks!
I'm actually waiting for a quote back for ACS, hopefully it will allow me to control access via that 'allow dial-in' option in the users Active Directory accounts just as you describe.
I understand the problem now. Authentication and Authorization are considered two different things in the Cisco world it would seem (at least with this product). So although my domain controller is authenticating users, its not controlling the authorizations. That seems pretty dumb... I have to...
Hi all,
We have a cisco vpn concentrator 3015 and we have pointed the base groups authentication back to one of our domain controllers. This works and people can vpn in successfully, however right now EVERYONE can. I need to be able to control access. If you look under the properties of the...
