I discovered the answer to my own problem by finding an old post.

This does work, You have to go directly to Address Book from the Tools menu, then select the list you are changing then select Properties. Now you can change the sort order to be from Last Name. Bucky

Hello All, I currently use a 600mHz Imac with OS 9.1 and I've maxed out the RAM with a 256. I notice that OSX requires 128 megs of RAM. Will the added requirements of OSX actually slow down my machine or be more hassle than its worth because I now have less memory for apps. Thanks, Bucky
