I have a g3, r11. I have a vector set for the auto attendant. When caller hits zero the call is supposed to route to line x. It doesn't. Where do I change where zero routes to? is it different than the vector step? I have puts "stops" all around to isolate the step.
Thanks in advance
Jim
fortunately for me the problem only happens to cell phone users.
The folks complain and when I ask if the call came from a cell they always say Yes.
thanks for the responses.
The calls are coming over CO trunks, not ISDn.
I think the problem is that the cell service is spotty and they are dialing the numbers fast so that all th tones do not get thru clearly or long enough to be heard by the pbx.
It is only cell phone calls.
When the folks complain that...
HAs anyone noticed that there is a higher rate of incoming cell phone failures? I find that when callers call into my auto attendant and dial a 4 digit extension the pbx is not hearing all of the tones, or the tones are not long enough, and the call fails. I now have it routing back to the...
What is this?
Will I disconnect a call on a port if I test in the middle of the day?
I have had many trunk problems lately. I found 2 bad ports on 2 different cards. I would like to try this.
Thanks
jim
Thanks.
I encountered another problem and that was that the disgruntled 2nd attendant kept her station on Pos-Busy.
When 1st attendant went hunt-ns we got a rona. When you make Att 2 Pos-Avail everything works.
Thanks for all the responses.

I inquired earlier about forwarding an Attendant Console to 2nd Att console (They answer different trunk groups)
I spoke to Avaya and they suggested using a hunt grp where the cov path rings to the one attendant(Day) and the night service(Night) rings to another hunt grp which fwds to a cov path...
Thanks.
Unfortuantely I did not mention that both trunks go to vectors for Auto Attendant features. If caller waits xx seconds or dial zero they go to appropriate attendant.
If I make a new vdn/vec for night service that changes the zero out destination I still don't get to where I want t o be...
I have two Consoles.
Each answers for a particular set of CO lines (they happen to be on seperate floors).
How can I get all the calls from 1 to go to 2 on an "on-demand" situation?
thank you
Jim
And why do you think I wouldn't have that feature available?
This is so much harder than it needs to be. Simple switch side directions would resolve frustration.
Thanks again.
When I login now I get an error message that states that I do not have IP enabled for this station,6416d+. Do I change that on page one of station? h.320?
The setup documentation is sorely lacking for this product.
Thanks in advance.

I just installed IP Softphone R4.
When I login it asks for extension and password.
Where do I establish the password in the switch.
Definity G3 R11.
Thank you
