    Check your CPU temperature... might even want to crack open the case and verify the fans (CPU and power supply) are working. that's my $0.02.

    Check the time and date of the computer you are trying to run Windows Update from. I had that problem and it took me a while to figure out the time and date were incorrect. -Chris
