It's good to see they've moved beyond Sign Everyone Up to actually doing something for the 24USD you spend.
Many years ago, I was suckered into signing up. It was nigh near impossible to get away from them.

I just recently got cable (Cox.net) and was too blown away with the speed. No one has mentioned this to me yet, but I do a lot of d/l of songs, images and movies now that I ahve cable. Will see what happens. I believe the dial ups went through this phase too, and I believe some dialups (AT&T for...
Speaking of salaries and all that, I found a couple of charts that might be helpful:
http://www.esj.com/salary_surveys/article.asp?EditorialsID=1

The first is about salary levels in IT and the second is about which skills...
Am thinking of adding a new hard drive to my 3 year old Dell 450 Xps system. It came with a 12 gig hd, but they don't make them that small anymore [bigsmile]. I was thinking along the lines of 40-80 gig. Would there be any problem?
Put the question to the Dell forum a week ago, but no answer...
From Paparazi
when I rang up IBM they said the drive wasn't there responsibility as it had been supplied to DELL OEM.
Funny, a number of years ago we'd bought a piece of IBM hardware for our mainframe shop. It was a 6611, sort of an early router. Couple of years went by and we had problems. The...

Ok d/l and installed "FixKlez.com" from the Symantic web site and it reported that
"Neither W32.Klez.gen@mm nor W32.ElKern.gen
were found on your computer."
So that's not it. Any more ideas...this is really wierd.

Recently I installed Norton AV 2002; well last few days (actually for about a week) it will not start up on re-boot; there's no little icon in the systray, etc. I'm not getting pop ups anymore when I send an email. In short it's appeared to have gone away???
Oh BTW, I try to open it and it...
There are some suggestions above in this same thread. The consensus seems to be to download and install the current superdat file whatever that may be (the name changes week to week). You might try this webpage:

and then post back...

I've been involved in some problems with McAfee. I'm not sure now (since I don't use it anymore) what version but I think it was 4.02.
I just discovered this today after a google search 'mcafee problems'. We still run it at work, but I believe we're going to change soon. At the time I viewed...

Well, the focus on games is ok, but a pc can do more than that. There's office stuff, Genealogy work, Model RR track design, picture collection, financial stuff (Quicken) and responding on the forums (like this ;-) ), etc. I really think the guy who can bridge the gap between Linux and Windows...

I'd appreciate you posting back what your experience is as I am at 5.01 also and was thinking of going to 6. I've heard both good and bad experiences with IE6, so it may be awhile before I go, but would appreciate any info you can give. (:I PhiloVance

For Microsoft Outlook Express errors, you can try
http://search.support.microsoft.com/kb/c.asp?ln=en-us&sd=gn
Or possibly contact McAfee or Norton support.
