Tray 3 isn't being recognized on HP LJ4250n

I have a HP Laserjet 4250n. It comes with 2 trays, and I'm trying to install a 3rd tray, a 500 sheet feeder. It's not being recognized at all in the printer, has anyone else had this problem?

    CCIE written test

I am studying for the CCIE written as well, and will be taking it on Dec.3rd. According to the outline of the 350-001 exam, would you say the outline is accurate? From what I've been told by many was to pretty much read all the online resources from the Cisco CCIE Online Resources section...

    Vlans, arp and DHCP addressing

Have you setup a new scope for VLAN 12? I have a similar setup, but for each vlan we have a scope that falls in that IP address scheme, but we are not using super scopes. Example, Vlan 10 might have dhcp for network 192.168.10.x/24 and Vlan 12 woudl have dhcp for 192.168.12.x/24. Not sure if...

From Microsoft with the situation that I was having the /cleanfreebusy is the fix.

    Outlook hanging

I believe I have a fix, it's been working thus far, but I'm also looking to make sure that there's not an easier way to fix this from the Exchange server side. As of now the problems seems to be traced to the free/busy information. During the migration from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003, the...

    Outlook hanging

Thanks for the response. You know I've done that, I've deleted outlook profile, recreated it..it's still a problem. When you were experiencing this issue, did you still have the old exchange server up, or was it completely down? Thanks!

    Outlook hanging

I have office 2000, and some office 2003. We recently upgraded our Exhange server from 2000 to 2003, and it's clustered as well, and on a HP SAN. The problem is that on some of these Windows 2000 Professional machines which are running outlook 2000 hangs upon exiting. It just hangs the entire...

    Network architecture question

The servers and workstations on the 192.168.6.x network, their default gateway should be 192.168.6.1. Also do a tracert from those servers on the 192.168.6.x network to an ip address on the 192.168.1.x network, and see what the last ip address to be resolve, or where it stops responding. And...

    Network architecture question

OK, now the second half of the sentence describing the pinging situation is a little unclear, but I believe what you're saying is that you can't ping 192.168.1.x from the 192.168.6.x network servers/workstations. From the look of it, I think you are probably right, and that it is a windows...

    Network architecture question

Hey, this isn't a waste of time at all, so ask away. To answer your question, you do need that interface to be up up status to ping it, and for that route to be advertised. Once you plug a cable into it, you should be fine, you can ping it, and the routes should be in your routing table.

    Network architecture question

Hi, First try doing a "show ip route", and see if the 192.168.6.x network shows up. It should. Also you can do a tracert from a pc and see where does the trace stop. Also from the router can you ping 192.168.6.1, you should. Doing these test should help in figuring out what's going on...

given device MAC address, how to determine which port connected to?

You have to do this command: sho mac-address-table address H.H.H (hardware address) If you don't have an uplink port, than it will point you to the exact port, if you do have an uplink port, it may point you to the uplink port. Then you need to telnet to the device on the uplink port, and...

Cisco Ethernet Interface keeps going admin-down same time each day.

Hey just for a shot in the dark, try switching the configs on E0 and E1, and see what happens. Also try upgrading the IOS version if possible. Just a thought.

    Network architecture question

Hello. Alright, here's some things to think about. One thing you could do is to add a secondary ip address on your 1750 router at the head office, the ip address could be something like this 192.168.6.x. So you would have 192.168.1.x and 192.168.6.x on the router ethernet interface, going...

    Terminal service access problem

Hey I'm not sure what role your Watchguard firewall is playing, because typically the firewall would handle the NAT or static mappings. In the Watchguard you would configure the common service, and if it's not there configure a custom service. Also in most cases your firewall would be the...

Problem with Google Page from within LAN

Hi, Well if you are using forwarders, then this shouldn't be a problem. If you're not using forwarders, then you are using the root-hint servers, then you would be having problems resolving some webpages. Yes you can put in the DSL Providers DNS server in one of the clients to test(or put the...

IP Helpers dont work for secondary interface range?

Well maybe it shouldn't work but it does. My situation is slightly different to a certain extent. Both of those subnets are on the same vlan, which is the default of 1. We are in the process of setting up Vlan, and the other subnets which are on other vlans (ex. Vlan7, Vlan 8, etc.) do have...
