    ram and norton....?

    ok.. he bought some ram from bestbuy. he installed it, it would boot to a certain point, and his computer would freeze. he then took off norton... problem went away. he loaded norton 2002 and he started receiving other errors. not virus related.

    no it doesn't work at all. can't open any files. any more advice is helpful.

    After installing WinXp in a Compaq Presario, system doesn't recognize cd-rw as such. Recognizes it as just a cdrom. Is there a site anyone can help me with to get the right device driver or do I need to flash the bios? Any and all help would be great.

    computer wont recognize any components

    is the jumper on the motherboard to clear cmos...? it should be set to normal..some read.. if no jumper present, will not hold cmos settings.
