On a remote VOIP site, I'm getting 'service unavailable' on all the phones (Nortel 1120e) when trying to connect to the PBX. The phones have static DHCP including the signalling server
Can someone shed some light on this error, is it a switch error or a phone error?
What sort of...
Thanks for the assist guys,
We now have the correct DHCP working at the main site.
Now I'm having other issues at the remote site but I'll raise another post for that now.
Thanks for that,
My Server team "thought" it was a good idea to set the Nortel options in DHCP at the server level across all scopes.
This looks like a weekend job for testing
Steve
Thanks Guys
Answer to questions
The Phones are picking up the phones IP as the DG, all the rest of the information is correct.
We are using the line 'Nortel-i2004-a" string in Option 128 in both Data and Voice Vlans and the Vlan-32=XX. in option 144 in both VLAN options. (Don't know if this...
I've recently installed a nortel CS1000 with Nortel 1120e phones. Switchs are Cisco 3750 E model. We have set up the DHCP but when the phones go to the correct subnet (118), they are not picking up the default gateway (118.254) but are using the Phones IP address instead.
This means that they...
I'm in the process of designing a new VOIP phone system using Nortel 1120E phones and Cisco 3750 switches. All is OK, but our networking guys have mentioned "in passing" that our switches are configured to use VMPS.
Not being a Cisco or VOIP tech, can I still use VMPS with the Nortel phones or...
One of the exchange servers (exchange 2003) is running out of disk space, all this drive contains are the .edb and stm files for the information store. As I don't have any room on the other partitions to move them to, my only option is replace the drives with larger ones.

I've just installed Japanaese language packs on our Exchange Servers and our users in Japan are complaining of an interesting issue when using OWA
The screen displays the characters properly, but they cannot see any emails in any folders, cannot create any new mail and cannot logoff properly...
Thanks for that - We don't use OST files. I waited a day for the size to decrease but still shows incorrectly. This is also very random as some accounts are affected but others are not.
We use mail limits on our Exchange 2003 server and users are getting the warning message that their mailbox is over the limit when they are not. System manager shows that mailbox is over the limit even when the user has deleted out all the mail.
Does anyone know of a fix for this?
One of my network admins plugged in a second network cable to our main database server 2nd Nic which promptly got a DHCP address and added the entry into DNS which caused a few problems. We have removed the cable, disabled the NIC, but keep getting the DNS entry re-appearing every day. We've...
We are using limits on our OUtlook 2003 mailboxes and I have found that one of the mailboxes keeps reporting that it is over it's limit. The mailbox is currently about 40mb and the system keeps reporting that it is 400MB! I reset the limits on that one to 350MB to test it and got the warning...
I'm trying to login to the extension manager in order to change the time back from daylight savings. When I try to access the node, I get an error message "cannot access database at this time. synchronization is currently running".

Running Windows 2003 server on a DELL 6850 Poweredge connected to a SAN. I've noticed that the SAN drive is losing 300MB a day but the files are not getting bigger? VSS is turned off and disabled.
Any ideas
We have two exchange 2003 servers and I'm trying to get the Public Folder store to replicate from one to the aother so I can start decommising the first. i set up replication, but nothing is happening. I've tried PFadmin to re-home but it's saying that the folders are already replicated...
I'm in the process of testing our exchange 2003 DR process and have started recovering our databases to a recovery storage group. This is working fine except that I've noticed that the main database store dismounts while the recovery takes place. Is this normal for Exchange? From what I've...
User logs onto via the Metaframe login screen with no issues, they then get the list of aplications (ie their desktop) that they can connect to, if the user clicks on any app, nothing happens, no error messages, no timeouts etc etc
