There is a difference between a replica only server and a server that has a parent server. If you took the option to configure as a replica server during the install then it picks all configuration and updates from it's master (parent) server. If you don't select the 'replica' option then the...
It's my understanding that you can only select the 'replica' option through the install of WSUS, therefore I would think that you'd have to uninstall and re-install.
Thanks, but I am aware of these commands. What I don't understand is why the DC's aren't following the domain heirarchy based synchronsiation method as they should be by default.
Thanks
Hello,
Our DC's don't seem to be using the PDC emulator as the server to sync their time against as they should be. For some reason all DC's are synchronising against another DC that was recently installed.
Has anyone seen anything like this before ?
many thanks
Hello,
I have a very strange thing happening relating to Group Policies and older NT profiles.
We are in the process of moving MF 1.8 (SP4) from Windows NT4 to Windows 2000. TS Profiles are set on one server outside the farm.
The news servers are tied down with a Group Policy applied to an OU...
Is it me or is it virtually impossible to download software from Cisco's web site. All I want is to download the latest IOS and PDM and I have to register and logon. Even after doing that it tells me that I do not have enough privileges!!!!
Now, maybe it's me, but personally I doubt that unless...
Thanks for the response.
What was the nature of the problems you experienced?
Also, how difficult a job was it to migrate your users from one farm to the other. Did you have to visit all PC's / Thin Clients?
Hello,
I assume your first question is regarding the Internet E-mail address not the Notes address. If so then I suspect that these users do not have the Internet Address field populated and therefore the server (the router task) is trying to populate the address when sending the mail. If not...
Hello,
I'm intending to add new servers to the Citrix farm. The existing servers are NT4 TSE but the new servers will be Windows 2000 SP3. I plan to upgrade the existing servers(i.e. the NT4 ones)nto Windows 2000 once I have the new servers up and running and not before. However the time period...
Hello,
You need to use DNS Blacklists. If you are using Domino 6 and the Domino server is the first server receiving the SMTP mail (i.e. no relays between the sender and your Domino server) then Domino can be configured to use DNS Blacklists. If you use another SMTP server to recieve your e-mail...
Hello,
Normally Notes is very stable. I have seen the Client crash though when the users' Notes data directory is not on the local PC but on a network drive. This normally works OK (although not officially supported) but if there are network gliches then the Notes client will crash when it loses...
I don't know the answer to your question but I do know that iNotes Web Access (known now as Domino Web Access) is not supported on Citrix / TS. Therefore if you try to contact IBM/Lotus you probably won't get any joy since it is not a supported configuration. I'd try searching on www.notes.net...
Take a look at the Binary Tree migration tools, they are better than the ones that are supplied in Notes. (The website is www.binarytree.com) - please note that I don't work for Binary Tree!
I've done a few migrations using the Binary Tree CMT and it works great. You can centrally manage the...
Hello,
I have tried what you suggested. I no longer have the full desktop appear however I still cannot search.
If I select the search explorer bar I can search OK. However, the users like to right click on a folder and search. When I do this (e.g. right click to search on the y drive) another...
Thanks for the replies. I will try what you suggest. Howver, I have a horrible feeling that I may have configured things this way already! For example I have set a shared drive to open up when they run the published app.
Hello,
I'm looking for some advice. The Citrix configuration is XP1.0 FR2 running on Windows 2000 SP3.
All the applications (Office, etc) are via Published applications, the desktop is not provided to anyone other the the local admins.
In order for users to see their home and shared drives we...
It depends on your requirements. If you have users who want to access the Domino server via a browser then use the iNotes6 template. If not then the other will do the job.
btw, I'd HIGHLY recommend Domino Web Access (i.e. using the inotes6.ntf template). Performance and functionaility has been...
