Hi,
I am trying to get a script working that will modify the description and profile server of a given user within AD. Currently I have the following:
'=================================================
Const ADS_SCOPE_SUBTREE = 2
strClockCard = InputBox("Enter Clock Card Number:")
Set...
Hi,
I have had a search through this forum for help on getting SNMP working but
haven't found anything that helps me.
I have just started monitoring servers using SNMP so didn't have the SNMP
service installed BEFORE SQL2000 went on any of my servers - I realise this
is the problem. I have...
Hi,
I have just set-up a new server with Windows 2000 SP3 and allowed Windows Update to upgrade it to the latest patches which included upgrading it to SP4.
I have only got 3 other machines on this very small network which are all running Windows XP Professional SP1. These have also been given...
Have checked the ODBC settings on both nodes and get the following information -->
User DNS
========
Name = MQIS
Driver = SQL Server
System DNS
==========
Name = LocalServer
Driver = SQL Server
This is the same on both nodes. I have got RPL-BMW SQL Instance running on one of the nodes so if I...
Hi,
I have got a Windows 2000 Cluster installed on an IBM FAStT200 SAN. I have got Microsoft SQL2000 Enterprise Edition installed on the two nodes and have called these RPL-BMW and RPL-AUDI.
I have had to changed the IP Addresses of these two SQL Installs from ***.***.1.31 and ***.***.1.32 to...
Hi,
I want to be able to install PM onto a flashdisk and then use it on other machines. This is because I want to be able to carry my emails around with me.
I have tried this, but whenever I move to another machine I get an error when entering in the username that I have provided. Even when I...
I know it has been a long time since I replied in this thread, but I have found the answer to my problem(s). It seems as though when a new machine has been built with the image of W2K and then the apps get installed through Active Directory and Group Policy, if a certain app / msi is run before...
Cheers. However if I had Server One fail, I would loose half of scope 1 and half of scope 2. Is there no way of ensuring that all the scopes are working even if one out of the 2 servers failed??
Hi,
I have been told that it is possible to have two DHCP servers in the same domain, managing the same scope??
Is this possible, and if so how??
Cheers.
Don't let the fact that some / most Raid Array enclosures can hold 14+ disks worry you, as obviously you don't have to fill them all at once. The following spec is one of the SANs / Clusters that I manage -->
2 x IBM xSeries 345's - 2 x 2.4GHz Xeon, 2.5Gb Memory, Mirrored 18Gb 15k Drives, 3 x...
Hi,
Current set-up is a Compaq RA4100 Cluster with two nodes (CPQ DL380 G1's), which are used for file & print but are also two out of the three Domain Controllers.
I am having problems with the clustering not corectly failing over when a fault occurs, it seems to be fine when I fail the...
Hi,
As I have to install SP1 for OfficeXP before SP2 does anyone know how I can complete this install using Windows 2000 Active Directory / Group Policy. I have had a look and SP2 looks quite simple to install via W2K, but can't find any info on doing this for SP2.
Please help....
Cheers.
Don't know if this will help but....
If you have a spare graphics card try replacing your original one as I have had a machine do the same sorts of things to me and it was the graphics that was the problem.
Hi,
I am trying to get my Compaq iPaq H3630 to print via irda to both a HP 2100 Laser and a 5P Laser both with the irda port on the front.
When I go into a Word document on my PDA I then select 'Beam Document' it discovers the printer but then when it tries to send the document it always...
Have tried what you suggested but still no luck. One of the errors that I am getting which looks a bit strange is when Office tries to install 'Application Server'??
Hi,
Running Windows 2000 SP2 (server & pro.). Active Directory installing Office XP using group policy on a computer basis.
We are having a problem with Microsoft Office XP and inserting graphs into Word and Powerpoint.
When you press the Chart icon you get the following error message...
I have managed to get the two switches working off just the one main one now after many hours of fiddling about!!
Unfortunatly, I can't quite remember how we did it. If you press the Print Screen key twice, then it takes you to the menu of the switch that the server you are working on is...
