We are moving our servers to a hosting facility and since they are only providing ethernet fiber internet connection, they are recommending to connect the internet fiber to our stacked 3750 switches on the same VLAN as a pair of ASA5510 FW. Another VLAN will be created for our production...
To Everyone:
A laptop user who has offline files enabled, complained that he lost all the graphics files he created during the weekend. Since the total size of the offline folders is 80GB we previously used cachemov to move the CSC folder to an external USB drive (Drive F).
I tried viewing...

- Make sure you have a replicate copy of the Public folders on the new server
- Make the new server as the master in the ESM Routing Groups
- Modify DNS servers to point to correct server names e.g...

SOLVED IT!!!!...and the culprit is.....Smarthost!!!!
I have smarthost configured in EX1 to connect to our spam filter...I removed it and restart the SMTP service and the 1,769 messages were gone.
I installed a second E2K Enterprise Edition server SP3 (on Win2K Adv SP4) which will eventually be our new server. I created public folder replicas in the second server when mail delivery started slowing down.
I frantically remove the replicas from EX2. I started it on EX1 System Manager...

We are also using Symantec Spam filter gateway and I have a suspicion of that this might be culprit.
I only have a workaround solution. We have a Symantec Firewall where all our DC resolves all external DNS querries. I just modify the Firewall's built-in DNS to point to the correct MX record...
(Here's an update since I posted the same problem on another E2K Forum)

To All:
Our single server E2K is working fine except for one thing. We are unable to send mail to any internet domain with more than one mx records and whose primary mail server (or whose mx preference is the lowest) is down. I use www.network-tools.com to test external mail servers.
My...

Modify your DNS mx records to have a metric of 10 for the first server and 20 for the second.
Of course this will only work for incoming internet mail.
To Everybody:
Any ideas how to troubleshoot this problem? I cannot get any help from Technet. Thanks.
