thanks for the quick response... do you know if i can name layers and make the menu change the layer to another page? or do i have to reload the menu on every page? -

ok, i just made a popup menu in fireworks, and now i imported it into dreamweaver. i split the page into two frames, one with the menu, and one where the content of the link chosen from the menu is displayed. the content frame overlaps most of the menu, making the menu choices impossible to see...
