I dont think it's a driver problem. I just wiped my C drive, and the problem still persists, even during Windows setup. Before I formatted the drive, though, it didn't freeze in safe mode. I'm perplexed.

I just installed a new mobo & CPU, and I had to do a "repair" install of windows to get it to work. Now the system randomly freezes in windows. There does not seem to be a pattern as to when it will happen. Any help is appreciated.

Whenever I boot my machine, it gives me a 0x0000007b stop error after completing the POST. I just installed a new motherboard and processor: Abit KD7A & AMD Athlon XP 2500, and it didnt do this before I installed them. Can anyone help?

You could also check to see if the jumpers on the hard drive are properly confingured or be sure you put the IDE cable in the right way 10010101110101111100010101101
You could use Crtl-Alt-Del to get rid of all the programs except Explorer, and if that works, close each program seprately to find out which one is beeping. If that doesn't work, you could always unplug the PC speaker inside the case 10010101110101111100010101101
