To begin with, I am familiar with Paging Files, etc.,
butttt. . .
When I attempted to wipe my recycle bin yesterday, I got
an error message stating that I was out of Virtual Memory
and that I needed to increase my Paging files and my
Registry Paging files. (I have gotten this message when...
Are you wanting to have the sound file play when the site is launched or only when someone selects a link?
To add the file, FTP is the best method. Additionally, I have found in the past, and this may be outdated info., that some hosts require sound files to be saved in a particular format...
Let me make sure I understand what you are trying to do.
You are trying to import an Excel spreadsheet file into an Access Database file, correct?

Fiber Optic is not susceptible to either RFI or EMI, which why it is the cable of choice, costly that it is.
Don’t have any input regarding the polished ends, but mis-alignment would affect it’s integrity, I believe.

I’ve never run upon this before. I was attempting to install the software for an HP Scan Jet 5100C in a PIII, Win98 box that has 128K of memory.
All programs, except explorer, were shut down; the scanner was NOT connected to the system (as per HP setup instructions for installing the...

I have a client who can launch his calendar from the toolbar. What he wants to do is to re-create a folder for it in the “left” side of Groupwise, (the column that shows all of the ‘folders’ in Groupwise.)

Depending upon the size of your network, you may want to look into the firewall system by eSoft. The system is called InstaGate.
You can filter email for such things and viruses also. We use it here at work.
Their site is www.esoft.com

It sounds like the boot sector of your HD was slicked or damanged. (I think it's sector 0, someone correct me if I'm mistaken.)
Anyway, I have to go along with Jim's reply. It is the best recovery method I can think of also.

Just a thought. Perhaps you have an application running that is attempting to write to disk, thus causing the disk not to spin down. Home: SRFlanigan@home.com

I hope I am posting this in the right group. Here’s the plan. The company I work for wants to cluster two identical W2K servers. One server will be using Quest, the other will use UUNET.
The tech books talk a lot about clustering, but are vague on the steps to do so. Any suggestions would...

I agree with James. Do not attempt to work on the monitor. The capacitor holds at least 30,000 volts. You could easily become a statistic! *:->*

OK—I am half way through Cisco, and have done some subnetting. My problem is that I seem to have some sort of mental block when it comes to subnetting. I need to find a site or some darn good book that gives a LOT of practices with the correct answers so that I can cut these mental blocks down...

Jim,
Thanks, but here’s the bug. In the System.ini file, [386enh] is not even referenced. I knew MS was doing away with some items in 98, but. . .
In her System.ini file, the only thing that refers to ‘386’ is 386Grabber=vgafull.3gr
Also, I thought stack size was referred as STACK=0,0 ...
I have removed the KAK Worm virus from several clients machines. It's not hard, just a little time consuming.
BTW--If you remove it manually, which I had to do each time, you will be making many deletions from your registry. I suggest you back up your registry before making any changes...
