I've tried compacting the file and running scanpst. I've also tried the search using Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2003. This folder has quite a few sub folders. Does the one you are trying to open? The error message doesn't really tell you anything. You would think that if Microsoft created an error...- rabbitrich
