Mpeg4 files play if you get MD to detect quicktime6 and force users to install if not present. Mpeg4 files then will play from all versions of MD 7.0+.
Drew a blank on this, so suggest creating external cast and just copy and past cast members from internal to external over then use this to shift to new movie.
Better still, just select all members and Ctrl+c, quit director, open new movie and Ctrl+v into other movie cast. D8 doesn't seem to...
This is messy, you need to rely on users having word or a viewer on computer - Just a thought, might be easier to save to their computer, then they can open as they please.

Could someone point me in the direction of an xtra that could search a text heavy director v8.5 projector project for cd-r and return paragraph articles or key words or subjects.

I need a script to allow users to bring up a file in a CD-ROM subdirectory and prompt the user to save this on their hard disk to any location. The idea is to package word docs, pdf's, excel files with projector in a "data" subdirectory...
Just install quicktime 6.0 and fill out distribution license for this player. This supports mpeg4
At start of projector, insert an autodetect script to prompt the user to install quicktime 6 if they either do not have quicktime installed at all or a pervious version...

I found the problem in calling the MIAW that accounted for the hyperlinks not working
Just trying to be too fancy...
Having trouble getting hyperlinks to work when an MIAW is open at same time.
The hyperlinks within main stage text link to the marker of each minor section. The MIAW has mouseover buttons that link to main sections such as help, FAQ etc.
When the MIAW is not open the hyperlinks on main stage...
