Solaris needs to reboot with -r to remake the device directory after the devices are attached.
try reboot -- -r and the then check the /dev/rmt directory for new devices.
Does the client /nsr/logs/daemon.log show any entry like:

I just received my Networker 7.2 cds last week and installed it on one of my servers and had no problems. On two of our Linux Redhat systems backup clients , the install gave no error messages but it removed /etc/init.d/networker so there is no startup script to start the nsrexecd dameon...

Anyone know the amount of backup data that can be done in one session? I had backup of a disk stop at 255GB and it has 314GB on the disk. No error messages.

Check your /etc/syslog.conf Networker does add its own lines to the file, mine has daemon.notice /nsr/logs/messages but it could be /var/log/syslog which would cause the Networker info to go to your syslog file.
To stop it just comment out the line and stop and restart the syslogd.

I am backing up OS 10.2 clients succesfully, I had to change the /etc/hostconfig file with the line for the RPCServices from automatic to yes, this starts the portmapper each time the system starts.
