I think the best place to start is to do a little research, as ZBNET and I have suggested. There are a number of ways this could happen, searching thru this forum and the KB at MS, you will probably find a match and a fix for your situation.
There are a couple of reasons this could happen. There are also a number of threads that talk about this issue in this forum (search on "store 100 cpu"). Check out the suggestions in the threads from the search - in my case, it was CA eTrust and the background scan issue.

You can get the file by downloading from the CA support web site (esupport.ca.com). Look for QO52531 (can't copy/paste link). The file is in the latest AS2K update.
