You need a boot disk that has cdrom support and make sure it isn't one that creates a ram drive because for some reason it creates an error while seting up windows

Use a multimeter and test all of you cables on your power supply to see if it is burned out - If it isn't then test your ram on another computer to make sure it works - if nothing works after you check all of this then your motherboard could be burnt out although it doesn't sound like it since...
Sometimes if you buy a cheap sound card it wont work with your games but only for standard use like playing music etc.
So if you bought a cheap sound card try to spend a little more money on it.

Make sure you have a the partition formated otherwise you cannot install anything on the computer - after you format it you should be able to install windows 2000
