sound card troubles

recently my sound has been causing me trouble. it seems to work o.k for email messages that contain sound but when i try to play music through winamp or musicmatch jukebox i get a message saying my sound card is in use by another program. i am not sure how to find out what program is using it and how to stop it. any thoughts?

We could do with more information, processor, memory, motherboard, sound card, video card makers would be helpful. If your unsure....Dont do it!

I am wondering which programs you had run before you try to play music - At the moment all I have to say until I get more information is press ctrl alt del and close everythimg running except explorer and then try to play your music... DavidDude00@Daw Corp, 1999-2002
