    Cisco 1924 no link-beat problem???

    I thought that I heard of a way to setup the switch to provide the link-beat, is this possible? I know the modem can work at 10 full/half 100 full/half and either RJ-45 or cross over. I just need to be able to setup the switch to send the link-beat.

    The modem is 100Mbps. I have also tried the modem in other ports, both 10Mbps and 100Mbps.

The modem is connected to port "B" but the light will not light up and in the administration area it says that there is no link-beat for this port?
