I have to do an RMA for an 80 GB IBM Deskstar that got a few bad sectors yesterday, but I was just wondering if anybody else that may have returned one to IBM could tell me about how long it takes for the replacement to ship?

The drive itself is fine. But it does seem that there are bad sectors now. A power surge hit it last week and then today the comp randomly froze and when I shut down it just didn't work right when I got it back up. Thanks for your help.

I guess that's what I can do. I have two other computers sitting right beside it so transfer that way isn't a problem.
