    Resizing Account Picture

Is there a registry edit or is there somewhere I can go to change the size of pictures that an account uses? I have a few banners that would look cool as an account pic but by defauly they are resized to fit in the small 64x64 square that Windows uses.

    Connecting Router to T1

I posted this in the Linksys forum, but I haven't been able to find a solution: I have a fractional T1 connection coming into my home. The way that my network is setup right now has my servers and Linksy routers connected into an Intel switch and then from the switch to the T1. However, I am...

    Connecting Router to T1

No offense taken. Usually the little, simple mistakes are the ones that happen most...such as when I forgot to plug my hard drive back in and thought that I formatted the wrong one...but that's another topic. BOKA: Yeah, I did indeed have crossover and not rollover. It simply didn't work. I...

    Connecting Router to T1

I got a crossover cable today....no luck though. I still get no connection when I plug my router in with the crossover.

    Connecting Router to T1

I'm sorry I didn't clarify about the T1 connectivity. There's a box (dunno the name of it) that takes the T1's fiber lines and outputs it as ethernet. If there was a way to take a picture of it and post it on here I would. That'd make things a lot easier. But it seems that what billo4th says...

    Connecting Router to T1

The switch is an Intel InBusiness 10/100 8 Port Switch. This one: http://www.hardware-one.com/reviews.asp?aid=208&page=1 Is there any kind of inexpensive router that has CSU/DSU? Cisco has one but it's around $800...

    Connecting Router to T1

It just occurred to me that I clicked the wrong forum link. Sorry, meant to post this in the network forums.

Small Issue - Ctrl + Enter

This is just a small little problem that's annoying. For the rare occassions that I actually use IE Ctrl + Enter doesn't work in the address bar. I'm running a fresh install of Windows XP (without SP2) and everything worked fine before reinstallation. Is there anything in particular that I...

    Changing IRQ

Is there a way to change an IRQ number in the XP recovery console or something similiar? Windows XP won't finish installing before I get the IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal error. Before I formatted I narrowed it down to my NIC.

    IBM Deskstar RMA

I have to do an RMA for an 80 GB IBM Deskstar that got a few bad sectors yesterday, but I was just wondering if anybody else that may have returned one to IBM could tell me about how long it takes for the replacement to ship?

    File Transfer

The drive itself is fine. But it does seem that there are bad sectors now. A power surge hit it last week and then today the comp randomly froze and when I shut down it just didn't work right when I got it back up. Thanks for your help.

    File Transfer

I guess that's what I can do. I have two other computers sitting right beside it so transfer that way isn't a problem.

    File Transfer

I thought about that, but to make the hdd fit where I wanted it to, I had to literally jam it in there. It WON'T come out. I've tried before when I needed to get it out last time. And it's not a virus, I know that for a fact. Everything started messing up after I had to turn the power off...

    File Transfer

My C: drive spontaneously corrupted a few minutes ago and it looks like I'll have to format. I have important files that I need to transfer, though. Is there a way to transfer files from one drive to another from the recovery console or someting similiar, or is there a free program I can get...

    Cache or GHz?

It seems that the socket 939 3500+ is the way to go then. I hadn't yet read anything about the difference between the socket types. The 3500+ is only two dollars MORE than the 3400+ at Newegg now. So definitely the 3500+. Thank you all.

    Good source for memory?

For me, Crucial has always beent the most efficient. Although for performance memory (Corsair) Newegg is defintely the way to go.

    Cache or GHz?

I'm getting a new processor soon and I was just wondering which would be better: AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 512K L2 cache or AMD Athlon 64 3400+, 1MB L2 cache Am I correct in the assumption that I'll notice a lot more difference with the cache sizes than I will with the actual processor speeds...
